Blog Post 4

Final Post: Some main concepts I learned in bio 11 were more about plants and animals, evolution, and micro organism, I also learned that if you email a teacher with your project and it's the wrong email, the other teacher will get mad at you for being a stranger sending him projects. I would change not studying for the phylum quizzes because I never studied and I did really bad and I wanted an A in the class but not I'll maybe just pull a B hopefully because those quizzes made my mark go down so much. 😖

In my opinion the most interesting parts of biology was how the gross and nasty the worm dissections were and why I was told to watch because that was disgusting and I should have been doing something more glamorous. The starfish was fun though, I would cut another one because the insides looked like poop and that was funny. 👌 Another interesting part was about the pine cones like how the female ones have spread out scales to catch the sperm and I thought that was the funniest thing ever because like they were made to reproduce and if a pinecone fell down its own tree and hit a male pinecone it could maybe get pregnant which is like forced tree incest. 😬

Aquarium Trip:

 This is a picture of me with penguins at the aquarium and there is no filter so I look bad.

Subphylum/ Class: Vertebrata

Distinguishing Characteristics: Back bone, walks on feet, has a spinal cord, and they can somewhat fly, they have cool beaks as well.

Yellow Grasshopper: 

I find this grasshopper interesting because it is yellow and it is kind of cute even though it is a nasty disgusting bug. I also found it interesting because of the colour yellow because most grasshoppers are green. 

     3 traits that all arthropods have that this yellow grasshopper has would be their exoskeleton, chitin which is primarily made out of carbohydrates, and the fact that they all have joint appendages.

I found the ink sac and the pen most interesting because it was like a little squid stationairy thing.
